Gorgeous chromium green Dravite Tourmaline from the Nadonjukin area in mid-northern Tanzania. This material was originally described as Chromium enriched, or Chrome Dravite, but the green colouration is now known to be due to a small percentage of Vanadium with a small yellowish core. Now referred to as vanadium enriched Dravite, Dravite being a member of the Tourmaline Group.
I love the vibrant green glow on this one- especially in the sun!
Set in a chunky, hand stamped, hand fabricated cap. Solid sterling silver. Stamped on the backside with my makers mark and .925
Pendant is just over 1.25” tall and hangs on a 24” heavyweight sterling silver curb chain.
